ATTORNEY AFFILIATE PROGRAM + ATLANTA LEGAL AID

Family Law

Atlanta Legal Aid provide legal assistance and program referral to low-income clients with domestic relations problems, particularly those in violent family situations. Our Family Law Unit works closely with several community-based projects to streamline the court process, to assist clients who want to represent themselves in court, and to encourage unmarried fathers to become or remain active in their children's lives. For intake, call the office for your county of residence.

Health Law Partnership

The project aims to improve the health of children hospitalized at Children's Healthcare, by coordinating services to address legal, social and economic conditions threatening children’s health. This service is available to low-income families of children hospitalized at Children's Healthcare at Egleston, Scottish Rite, Hughes Spalding or any of the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta clinics. For intake, call (404) 705-0000.

Offices

Atlanta Legal Aid Society provides services only for residents of the five-county metro Atlanta area, except as noted for the Georgia Seniors Legal Hotline and the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program.

If you are a resident of one of these five counties, you may apply for legal aid by calling the office for your county. It is always best to call before you visit; intake hours are limited.
